Both Kornado (Korea Can Do) and Rexton II are four wheel driven SUVs and are hoped to be launched this year. Reports suggest that Rexton will arrive first followed by Kornado. The Korando price in India and Rexton price in India are still unknown but it is expected that these would be priced competitively eyeing the exiting SUVs in India. Kornado is expected to undergo changes and it will be short in length as compared to Kia Sportage and Hyundai ix. Meanwhile, Rexton SUV is in close competition with Mercedes-Benz M-Class. Once the two SUVs are in India these will give tough competition to Chevrolet Captiva, Nissan X-Trail, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Honda CR-V and the recently launched Skoda Yeti.

As per the latest updates on Kornado and Rexton, the later has already arrived in India and is under testing. Mahindra is carrying out rigorous tests on Rexton in order to make it complaint with the Indian pollution and other safety norms prior to its being introduced in India. Since it is under localization, experts believe that it would take another two months for finalization. Meanwhile, Mahindra has launched Mahindra Scorpio EX and the Mahindra Scorpio EX price in India is Rs7.21 lakhs. Besides, Mahindra is also launching Mahindra Xylo mini soon.
