In our latest story about Mahindra & Mahindra's plans of increasing the production of SsangYong Rexton by 500 units, we told you that the company's chief executive, Mr. Pravin Shah has also disclosed some of the M&M's major plans for the first quarter of 2013.Except revealing the hike in production capacity of their newly launched SsangYong Rexton, he went on to saying that the much awaited sub-4 meter Verito Compact Sedan and Reva NXR E2O will launch by end of the first quarter, which means by March end.
Both Mahindra Verito CS and Rea NXR E2O were expected to launch in 2012 only, but for some unknown reasons, it kept on getting delayed. Now when the words have come from the top official of the company, we will soon see both the cars on Indian roads.Mahindra verito CS is almost the same as the facelifted Verito, which was launched back in July 2012, it's just the boot that has been reduced to make it a sub 4-metre car. being a sub-4 meter in length, it will additionally get the excise duty benefits, helping it become very competitive in the price. So we are expecting the Verito CS to be priced as low as 4.5 lakh- 4.8 lakh to compete against the likes of Indigo CS, Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios and others. One more plus with the Verito CS is the fact, that it will carry the proven and potent 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine which is known for returning an impressive fuel economy.
Mahindra Reva NXR E2O (E-Two-Oh) is the yet another much awaited vehicle for so many reasons including its capacity to accommodate four-people, larger dimensions, more power, more speed and more range than the company's first electric vehicle Reva i. Reva E2O too has been said to be launched before Quarter one ends, which means maximum by March end. As far as the prices are concerned, we are expecting its price to be around Rs 5-5.5 lakh.
