Mahindra Verito's sub-4 metre version 'Vibe' has been doing test runs for quite sometime now, which will soon make its debut in the highly competitive hatchback segment. Ever since the first spy shots of the car came out, it has been facing criticism due to unusual C Pillar design. With such a distinguished design, the car looks more like a notchback than a proper hatch.
Now our friends at Indian Autos Blog have managed to get the high quality images of the Verito Vibe, sent by an IAB follower Vikram Vishwanathan, who clicked them in Banglore, while its advertisement shoot in the city.
The caught version is possibly the top-end variant of the Vibe, as it adorns alloy wheels, rear exhaust with chrome treatment and a few other features, giving it an upmarket look. A 'Vibe' logo too has been fixed, which we have not seen in any spy shots before. The caught car is in Arctic Blue colour, which is not very common in Mahindra & Mahindra vehicles. The XUV500 was the first vehicle to have got a variant in Artic Blue paint.
If you closely inspect the design of the car, major design changes are given at the boot of the car, front fascia looks almost similar to that of the Verito sedan. In fact, if you look at the side profile of the car, it's identical to the Verito until the rear door. The boot of the car is an unusual one, the rear tail lights are placed on the pillars rather than on the boot. To give a rugged look to the car, Mahindra has sported a black roof rail on the car.
Being sub 4-metre in length, the Vertio Vibe becomes eligible for the excise duty benefits, so we are expecting the vehicle to be priced very competitive. Since, Mahindra & Mahindra doesn't have any small petrol engine currently, so, expect the Vibe to come only in diesel option.
