The Sony sound system will work on all stereo sources (radio, Bluetooth, and USB) and feature multiple sound settings for a customizable audio. It also features speed-dependent volume control and tonal balance, the latter to minimize the influence of ambient noise.
The XUV700 will also get AdrenoX and the Amazon Alexa-powered 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multiple drive modes, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, driver drowsiness detection, and high-beam assist.
The SUV will also get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), possibly including auto emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, and adaptive cruise control.
The XUV700 will be powered by the Thar’s 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, but uptuned to generate more power. The powertrains will likely be mated to 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions along with an optional AWD.
The XUV700 is all set to be revealed on August 14, followed by its launch in October. It is expected to be priced between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 22 lakh and will rival the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Hyundai Alcazar.
