The 5-door Maruti Jimny went on sale in June 2023, with prices starting at Rs 12.74 lakh. Now, it has received a significant price cut of up to Rs 2 lakh, for a limited period, with the introduction of the ‘Thunder Edition.’ Here’s a look at its revised prices and what the limited edition has to offer:

Maruti has decreased the prices of the Jimny’s top-spec Alpha trim uniformly by Rs 1 lakh, while the entry-level Zeta variants have become more affordable by Rs 2 lakh.
What’s Special About The Limited Edition?
The Jimny Thunder Edition is just an accessory kit for the Maruti offroader. Maruti is offering it with accessory items such as a front bumper garnish, decals, an interior styling kit, floor mats (different for manual and automatic variants), and a tan-finish steering wheel. The Jimny Thunder Edition also gets door visor, front and rear fender garnishes, and body cladding.
Gets The Same Equipment As Before
No changes have been made to the features list of the Jimny. Its headlining features still consist of a 9-inch touchscreen, cruise control, auto AC, electronic stability programme (ESP), a reversing camera, and six airbags (as standard).

Offered With The Same Engine
Maruti has equipped the Jimny Thunder Edition with its standard 1.5-litre petrol engine (105 PS/134 Nm) as per usual. It comes paired with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox options, while a 4-wheel drivetrain (4WD) is available across both the trims.
Rivals Check
The Maruti Jimny’s limited edition has no direct rivals but the offroader is a competitor to other lifestyle offroaders like the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.
