Maruti Registered a increase of 50.6 percent in Dec 09 sales.

India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India today announced 50.6 per cent increase in its sales in December last year. Maruti Suzuki India sold 84,804 in December 2009 compared to 56,293 units in December 2008. While at the same time the domestic sales of the company increased by a whooping 36.5 percent at 71,000 compared to 52,029 units in the same period preceding year. Sales of A2 segment models like Maruti Alto, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti Zen, Maruti Swift, Maruti A-Star and Maruti Ritz were increased to 52,236 from 36,831 units in December, preceding year which is an increment of 41.8 percent.
At the same time the sales of A3 segment of car models of Maruti Swift Dzire and SX4 sedans grew by 20.2 per cent at 7,843 units in December 2009 compared to 6,524 units in December 2008. Company's one of the oldest car model Maruti 800 witnessed a decrease of 11.5 per cent in sales during this period at 2,574 units compared to 2,908 units in December 2008.
