Maruti to register 100% exports increase in this fiscal

Maruti Suzuki India, country's largest car manufacturer announced today that it is expecting to register a 100% export increase by the end of this fiscal. Company is expecting that it will manage to sell around 1.6 lakh units by the end of this fiscal along with a sales increase of 20% in its overall sales.

Company managed to export around 80,000 units in last fiscal. But as now it is also planning to enhance its exports to other markets like South-East Asia and Africa, it is expecting to achieve a 100% increase in its exports this fiscal. Company recently announced its plans of exporting Maruti Ritz model in overseas market along with its flagship Maruti A-Star model.

The Maruti A-star model which is manly exported to countries like Chile, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Algeria. The Model is also exported to market of UAE where it named as Suzuki Celerio.

As Maruti A-Star registering good sales figures in overseas market many major car manufacturers are planning to make India their exports hub for small car like Ford Figo, Toyota Etios, Volkswagen Polo and a small car from Honda.
