Mercedes Benz India sees India as a high growth market

Despite the global slow down in auto sector the luxury car maker Mercedes Benz India sees India as a high growth market. According to company where many auto giants in other countries struggling with slow down in sales the Indian auto sector is a high growth market notwithstanding global recession.
According to Mercedes Benz India the auto sector here in India will not grow at it has been growing since last three year. But this market will perform better then countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Dr Erhard Haller the Director of the Board of Mercedes Benz India, said that the assembly lines at the new plant were flexible. Many new products would roll out from here both in the passenger car and commercial vehicle segments he added. The three-axle bus and the city bus are among the new products in the pipeline. He was speaking at the occasion of inauguration of a greenfield plant at Chakan today.
