Mercedes Benz SLS AMG gets new features

Mercedes Benz has upgraded its super luxury coupe car Mercedes Benz SLS AMG and loaded it with new features like ride control suspension, new alloy wheels and optional features like Blind spot assist along with many new paint finishes. Mercedes Benz has just launched new Mercedes Benz C Class and Mercedes Benz CLS Class in this month in India. Now with this up-gradation stunt, the German car giant has taken the definition of luxury and performance to another level.Top of the line Mercedes Benz SLS AMG was available at Rs 2.08 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). Now with the advanced features added to the coupe, customers would have to shell out an extra amount of around Rs 1,40,820.

The new high-tech option of the AMG ride control sport suspension combines performance-orientation with comfort for long journeys. Blind Spot Assist improves active safety on board the gull-wing coupe model. Further optional features in the car are AMG 10-spoke forged wheels painted in matt black. Earlier, the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG used to be assembled with 7 spoke AMG light weight alloy wheels with a high sheen tentinum grey finish. Red-painted brake calipers or AMG high-gloss black trim are the other add-on optional features.

AMG Ride Control sport suspension with variable, electronically controlled damping will caution the drivers all the more as they will now have to realize when exactly they need to switch on the right suspension mode. A new key with shock absorber symbol is added that allows individual to adjust the damping characteristics. There is a choice of three modes: "Comfort", "Sport" and "Sport plus” and the selected mode will be shown in the AMG main menu. The new, optionally available Blind Spot Assist, operational from a speed of 30 km/his is able to generate warning by using the close-range radar sensors to recognize cars in proximity where visibility is restricted.
