Mercedes-Benz India is introducing a new facelift version of their A-Class luxury hatchback in India. The launch will take place on December 8, 2015 in Mumbai and will be the German automaker’s 15th new product for the country this year. The facelift receives small updates on the exteriors while keeping the overall look unchanged and giving this hatch a refreshed appeal. The car will compete against the likes of Volvo V40 Cross Country and BMW 1 Series in the country.
Exterior updates include a new, more aggressive front bumper with a redesigned headlamp cluster. The taillights have also been worked upon and will feature a fresh look. The ORVMs have been blacked out, giving a sportier look to the A-Class. Also, the car will ride on new 5-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, although not much have been changed but the cabin features a new 8.0-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Mirrorlink software for smartphone integration. The car will also get interior colour choices and a reworked instrument cluster. Under the hood, A-Class might still run on the 1,595cc petrol engine and the 2,143cc diesel engine which are employed in the current model. Both of them are mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which is found in the current A & B-Class.
