It is an extended warranty product that the German carmaker has launched in association with Daimler Financial Services India and Reliance General Insurance

German auto giant, Mercedes-Benz, has launched a new extended warranty product in India. Called the Advance Assurance Program, the company has designed it in collaboration with Daimler Financial Services India and Reliance General Insurance. The automaker claims that the product aims to deliver a hassle free vehicle ownership experience. Let’s see what it is made of.

  • It will be offered only to customers who opt for extended warranty services beyond the 2 year standard warranty plus 1 year STAR CARE.
  • Advance Assurance Program will be available in three options, namely fourth year, fourth and fifth year and for fourth, fifth and sixth year.
  • Customers can opt for any of the options mentioned above before the completion of the third year of ownership.
  • Advance Assurance Program promises to reduce the cost of extended warranty price when compared to the existing programmes. For instance, the Advance Assurance Program for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class will cost Rs 66,000, which is 18 per cent lesser than existing programmes.
  • There is also an exit clause available, if the customer wishes to, within the standard warranty period.
  • If opted for, customers can avail unlimited mileage warranty.
  • It will be sold to only non-commercial customers.
  • Serviceability of the vehicle will be available throughout India.
  • This program is also transferable to second and subsequent owners.

In essence, you can get your beloved car with the three-pointed star covered for up to six years. That does sound great, especially if we consider the cost of spare parts in any of the premium cars.

Mercedes-Benz has played well on its early comer’s advantage in India. On one hand, the German auto giant has steadily increased its presence across the country and on the other, it has also ensured that more of its products are available to a rapidly evolving Indian automotive market. Products like Advance Assurance Program highlight the confidence Mercedes-Benz has in its products. Question is, would you opt for it?
