Mercedes-Benz reveals CLA 45 AMG Racing Series and CLA 250 Sports; Frankfurt Debut

Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury car manufacturer has revealed the CLA 45 AMG Racing Series and CLA 250 Sports via its official Facebook fan page. Both the vehicles will be premiered at the upcoming 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The CLA 45 AMG Racing Series will showcase the company's offering for an entry-level customer racing team. The vehicle will feature a stripped down interior cabin, various tweaks to the aerodynamics, and is expected to receive significant changes under the hood.

The CLA 250 Sports is expected to be a new version of the CLA and likely to receive various ingredients and power options from the Mercedes A 250 Sport hatchback. It is likely to be powered by the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that is capable of developing 208bhp at 5,500rpm and 350Nm of top torque.

The power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7G-DCT dual-clutch gearbox. Moreover, the Mercedes-Benz will showcase production version of GLA compact crossover, S-Class Coupe Concept and S63 AMG at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
