MG Gloster Black Storm

  • MG has priced the Gloster Black Storm from Rs 40.30 lakh to Rs 43.08 lakh.

  • Based on the top-spec Savvy trim of the standard Gloster.
  • Exterior changes include red accents all-around and a redesigned grille.

  • Inside, it comes with an all-black cabin featuring red ambient lighting and highlights.

  • Features onboard include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charging and ADAS.

  • Powered by the usual 2-litre turbo and twin-turbo diesel engines with both 2WD and 4WD options.

  • MG has introduced 8-seater variants in place of 6-seater trims on the standard Gloster.

  • New prices range from Rs 32.60 lakh to Rs 41.78 lakh (for the standard version).

MG has joined the bandwagon of offering special editions and has introduced the Gloster Black Storm, a blacked-out special edition, which gets a few cosmetic changes over the standard model. It is based on the regular model's top-spec Savvy trim.

How Much To Shell Out?

MG is offering the Black Storm edition of its full-size SUV in a total of four variants priced as follows:

New Cosmetic Touches For The Black Storm

The most significant updates to the Black Storm edition are the red inserts in the headlight clusters, and red highlights on the ORVM housings and brake callipers, in the door cladding and bumpers. MG has also redesigned the grille which now features a honeycomb mesh-like pattern in place of the horizontal chrome slats. There is also a new “Black Storm” badge to identify the special edition variant of the Gloster. All chrome bits on the SUV’s exterior have been replaced with black finishes including the fog lamp garnish and window surround.

Its cabin features new highlights too, including red ambient lighting in the dashboard and door pads, contrast red stitching for the leatherette upholstery and red accents on the steering wheel.

Any New Features?

The special edition is only a cosmetic treatment for the Gloster and doesn’t add any new features to the SUV’s already expansive equipment list. The MG Gloster already comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, a digital driver’s display, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging and a 12-way adjustable driver seat. It gets an all-terrain system with seven drive modes: Snow, Mud, Sand, Eco, Sport, Normal, and Rock.

Its safety net is headlined by advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), six airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
