Although the BE 6 isn’t a direct competitor to the Harrier EV, it is a well-equipped EV that gets a couple of premium additions over the Tata flagship
The 2025 Tata Harrier EV is Tata’s flagship EV offering and has attracted a lot of attention. Similarly, the Mahindra BE 6 with its swanky design has also made headlines following its launch. Both EVs are loaded with features to the brim. Even though the BE 6 isn’t a direct competitor to the Harrier EV, it gets six features over the Harrier EV:
Illuminated Glass Roof
The Mahindra BE 6 comes with a fixed glass roof, which means it doesn’t open like the panoramic sunroof in the Tata Harrier EV. However, it features built-in illumination with multiple patterns and gives the cabin a premium feel, especially during night drives.
16-Speaker Sound System
The BE 6 is equipped with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, which should offer a more immersive audio experience compared to the 10-speaker JBL system in the Harrier EV. Both EVs support Dolby Atmos for enhanced sound quality.
Heads-up Display
One of the unique features of the BE 6 is its augmented reality (AR) heads-up display. It projects essential driving information directly onto the windshield in the driver’s line of sight. Using AR, it can also highlight upcoming turns and road directions on the actual road view, making it easier to follow routes. The Harrier EV does not come with this feature.
Dual Wireless Phone Chargers
While both the BE 6 and the Harrier EV offer wireless phone chargers, the BE 6 goes a step further by providing two wireless chargers instead of one. This adds extra convenience, especially during long drives when you need to charge multiple devices simultaneously.
Selfie Camera With Driver’s Attention Monitoring
The BE 6 also gets a selfie camera inside the cabin. It can be used for taking photos, recording videos or attending online meetings, particularly when the vehicle is stationary. This camera also uses sensors to monitor the driver’s attention or fatigue while driving, hence adding to better safety. The Harrier EV does not offer this feature.
Flush-Type Door Handles
The BE 6 comes with flush-type door handles that give the car a more modern and futuristic appearance. On the other hand, the Harrier EV continues with traditional pull-type door handles.
While this set of features might not be deal-breaking essentials, it surely gives the BE 6 a slight edge against the Harrier EV. On the other hand, the Harrier EV also gets a couple of things over the BE 6 which you can check out in this story. So, if you had to decide between these two, what would be your pick?
