Back in early 2022, the MG ZS EV was given a thorough midlife update. With the facelift, MG’s compact electric SUV got a tweaked design and a fresh set of equipment, including certain driver assistance functionalities. Now, the carmaker has gone ahead and introduced 17 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features on the ZS EV, all borrowed from the Astor and Hector. These features are limited to the electric SUV’s new range-topping Exclusive Pro variant priced at Rs 27.90 lakh (introductory ex-showroom).
New ADAS Features
The ZS EV’s updated ADAS suite now comes with lane assists (departure warning and lane keep), high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking (pedestrian protection), and traffic jam assist.
All the new ADAS features have been categorised into three levels of sensitivity – Low, Medium and High – and three warning levels (haptic, audio and visual).

What Did It Already Offer?
The facelifted ZS EV, launched in 2022, only came with ADAS features like blind spot assistance detection and rear cross-traffic alert. Passenger safety is also ensured by six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, and hill descent control.
Other Features On Board
The ZS EV’s headlining features include a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen system, wireless phone charging, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, and connected car tech.
Battery Pack And Range
The ZS EV is been equipped with a 50.3kWh battery pack mated to an electric motor that is rated at 177PS and 280Nm. With this setup, it offers a claimed driving range of 461km.
Variants And Rivals
MG now sells the ZS EV in three variants: Excite, Exclusive and Exclusive Pro. The electric SUV goes up against the Hyundai Kona Electric and BYD Atto 3, while also serving as a premium option to the Tata Nexon EV Max and Mahindra XUV400.
