MG ZS EV’s Prices Slashed For The Festive Season

With the price cut, the ZS EV is now more affordable by up to Rs 2.30 lakh

We recently brought to you the news of reduced prices of the MG Hector and MG Hector Plus. Turns out, the carmaker has slashed prices of the two SUVs for the festive period and has now done the same for the MG ZS EV. Here’s a look at the revised variant-wise prices of the electric SUV:

With the price reduction, the MG ZS EV’s starting price has dropped by Rs 50,000. Its mid-spec and range-topping variants have received a massive price cut of Rs 2 lakh and more. The electric SUV packs a 50.3kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that churns out 177PS and 280Nm. With this setup, it has a claimed range of 461km.
Hector And Hector Plus
As already seen in our previous report, the MG Hector’s prices have gone down by up to Rs 1.29 lakh, while the MG Hector Plus has become more affordable by up to Rs 1.37 lakh. Their revised price ranges are Rs 14.73 lakh to Rs 21.73 lakh, and Rs 17.50 lakh to Rs 22.43 lakh, respectively. The significant price cuts are for the higher variants of the mid-size SUVs. The Hector is a 5-seat SUV, while the Hector Plus is sold in 6- and 7-seater layout options.
Both the SUVs get the same two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (143PS/250Nm) paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT, and a 2-litre diesel engine (170PS/350Nm) mated to a 6-speed manual transmission only.

MG Competitors
The MG ZS EV stands as a rival to the Hyundai Kona Electric and BYD Atto 3, while being a premium alternative to the Tata Nexon EV. On the other hand, the MG Hector and MG Hector Plus take on the likes of the Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcazar.
