Mitsubishi Motors Global Small sketch released

Japanese auto manufacturer are always keen on bringing an advanced technology product in the automobile industry. Now this time it is Mitsubishi Motors exhibiting pictures of its all new “Global Small”concept which will feature in the Geneva Motor show.

The “Global Small” magnificent looking car seems to be gaining accolade since the sketch has been released. As per the company, the manufacturing will start in March 2012 in the third new unit of Mitsubishi in Thailand. The new small car is assumed to be sold in the various international auto mobile markets. The hatchback is designed to reduce emissions which is affixed with new fuel saving technologies. The five seator from Mitsubishi is an attempt to showcase the next gen cars designs in the world auto market.

The Japanese auto giant though revealed some details and stated that Global Small is expected to use a powertrain from 1.0 to 1.2 litres, comprising of start-stop button and also regenerative braking system. The “Global Small” car will have a new mill, new generation CVT transmission and wheel tyres to provide low-friction and braking system for low-drag. The new car's parts are light in weight and body styling greatly emphasizes on the low aerodynamic drag. It is being reported that Mitsubishi is following its global auto partner Nissan as the new car seems to be inspired by Nissan Micra.

Though not confirmed, the “Global Small” car can be expected in India in alignment with the expansion plans it has for future. It seems likely that Mitsubishi Motors launch the car as the Indian auto market holds 70 per cent of the market share in the small car segment.
