New Volkswagen Jetta and Passat launched in India

Volkswagen, Germany based world's leading car maker today launched the Volkswagen Jetta common rail diesel and Passat TSI  engine. Where the Passat 1.8 L TSI is priced at Rs 19.20 lakhs(ex-showroom New Delhi), the Jetta 2.0 L diesel Comfort-line is available at Rs. 15.92 lakhs (ex showroom, New Delhi).

The Volkswagen Passat which is now available with TSI petrol engine which is known for maximum power with minimum fuel consumption, as per a company release.

It further elaborated that the TSI engines are compact and high-powered which provides a good fuel economy. With this, these engines have specially been developed to cut -down the emission level.

According to Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India, the Passat TSI and Jetta common rail diesel engines are very well refined and they are able to provide superior driving experience as well as decrease fuel consumption and emissions.

Volkswagen India recently launched it long awaited Polo model in India in the price range of Rs 4 to Rs 6 lakh. The polo is competing with one of the most popular cars in India in hatchback segment including Maruti Swift and Maruti Ritz. Besides this many new car models has been launched in this segment in recent months including Ford Figo and Chevrolet Beat.
