The third-generation Renault Duster SUV is set to be unveiled globally on November 29. According to reports, Renault's budget-oriented brand, Dacia, will showcase the new-gen Duster in Portugal. The new Renault Duster will be based on the brand’s CMF-B platform and is expected to offer multiple powertrain options. Let’s now take a closer look at what we know about this new-gen SUV so far.
Looks
Based on the previous renders and spy shots that have surfaced on the internet, the new Renault Duster will retain its boxy SUV proportions, but follow the brand’s latest design language. Up front, the new Duster will sport an all-new grille, a slimmer headlight setup with LED DRLs, and a chunky air dam.

Its rugged appeal will be further enhanced by muscular wheel arches, side body cladding, and roof rails. At the rear, it will likely feature Y-shaped LED taillamps and a prominent skid plate integrated into the rear bumper.
Multiple Powertrain Options
According to reports, the new-generation Renault Duster will likely come with 3 powertrain options: a 110PS 1-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.2-litre petrol-hybrid (120-140PS), and the most powerful will be a 1.3-litre turbo petrol flex-fuel compliant engine which makes 170PS. That last one might be limited to Latin American markets where flex fuel vehicles are commonplace. More details about the transmission options for the new Duster will be available after the unveiling. Renault is also expected to announce an all-electric version of the SUV soon.
