Hyundai has showcased its all new generation of the Hyundai Elantra in Korea. Internationally, this will be the sixth-generation of the car whereas the car has only seen one generation in our country.
On the dimensions front, the next generation Elantra’s length has been increased by 20mm whereas the car will be 25mm wider than the previous generation. All the increase in the car's size has led to spacious interiors which will set a new benchmark in this segment. The interiors of the car are designed in a way that the cockpit-styled controls are angled towards the driver. Soft-touch instrument panel with high quality material has been used in the interiors.

The diesel engine is what is of utmost importance for our market and the 2 liter petrol engine might not be launched here. If launched, the petrol would be mated to a six speed manual or automatic gearbox whereas the diesel engine might come with a fresh 7-Speed DCT transmission.
