Nissan GT-R

Nissan has unveiled the GT-R at the ongoing Delhi Auto Expo, while the official launch will happen in the month of September. The sports car stole the show at the Nissan stall as GT-R is the dream car of a lot of petrolheads. GT-R is the benchmark for good acceleration and cornering. At the Expo, the car rivals Audi’s all new R8, and when launched in India, it will come with a price tag of around Rs. 2 Cr and will rival Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz AMG GTs and Porsche 911.

The car is powered by a 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 engine which produces 554bhp at 6,400rpm and 632Nm of torque in-between 3,200 to 5,800rpm. This power is delivered by a 6-speed dual clutch transmission to an independent transaxle 4WD. GT-R sprints from 0 -100 km/h in under 4 seconds and goes all the way to achieve a top speed of 315.4 km/h. This car is one of the most aerodynamic cars with a drag coefficient of just 0.26. The car has a typical Japanese body style with a big front face highlighted by a black grille and a GT-R badge, but holds a modern appeal. The rear wing adds to the sportiness of the car and also, provides downforce to maintain good traction at high speeds. The rear has four big round tail lights which are further complimented by the four exhaust tips which shine in silver.

GT-Rs interiors look dated, however, they are advanced in terms of the data they provide. The push button start has been placed behind the gear lever. Dashboard has buttons for AC & music and a large display to show all the mechanical happenings of the car. Instrument cluster is a combination of analog and digital. The display on the dashboard shows performance information like cornering, acceleration, and g-force data while keeping track of lap times.
