Nissan finally took the covers off the production-spec version of its upcoming sub-compact SUV, the Magnite, on October 21. The carmaker has managed to keep the exterior design very similar to the concept with its beefy stance, sporty curves and sharp front fascia. Other details revealed thus far include its standout features, interior design and at least one of its powertrain options.
And we now also know the colour choices it will be offered for it. Here they are:
-
Storm White
-
Onyx Black
-
Blade Silver
-
Brown Sandstone
-
Flare Garnet Red
-
Vivid Blue & Storm White
-
Flare Garnet Red & Onyx Black
-
Pearl White & Onyx Black
The Magnite will be offered in a total of 8 paint options, including three dual-tone ones. Most of these colours are similar if not the same as those offered with the Kicks compact SUV. While it doesn’t get any distinct hues, the Magnite’s sporty front fascia lends it plenty of road presence. The dual-tone options are likely to be reserved for higher-specced variants of the Nissan offering.

The Magnite will be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with the choice of a CVT automatic gearbox but the performance figures are yet to be confirmed. It is likely to be offered with the option of the 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol unit too, and both engines are expected to feature a 5-speed manual as standard.
Nissan has confirmed some of the star features of its new entry-level offering which includes a 360-degree camera view, air purifier, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity JBL sound system and its 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
Nissan is expected to price the Magnite from Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) with a launch slated for early 2021, probably in January. It will rival the likes of the Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the upcoming Renault Kiger.
