Nissan sends us the official new GT-R teaser

The 2016 New York Auto Show is just around the corner and Nissan just sent us a GIF image to hot things up!
Teasers are a good thing. They reveal very little, but at the same time build anticipation and excitement about what’s going to come. This applies even more so when the car in question is one of the most worshipped things on four wheels, the Nissan GT-R. Nissan sent out a very cool GIF image where that magnificent rear emerges out of the dark with those legendary tail lights lighting up. Now from what we can make out, the car looks quite similar to what we have now which means this is more likely to be another update and not an all-new car.
We can safely assume it’s not an all-new model because from what we know, the R36 will be worlds apart from the current generation car. Expect a massive weight reduction and of course a hybrid powertrain considering everyone from McLaren to Porsche now have the same. The other reason for us citing it as an update is that we have just driven the new GT-R around the Buddh International Circuit (Watch Nissan GTR First Drive Video) and Nissan are yet to launch the car on Indian soil.
At the 2016 New York Auto Show, expect the car to get some more aero updates, spruced up interiors and a marginal bump in power as well. With limited information available, that’s all the info we can give you and of course that teaser image to drool on. Keep watching this space for more!
