Nissan India is speculated to be launch the Nissan Sunny sedan in the month of November, one month earlier than the expected December, 2011 launch. We cannot do justice to this sedan car by placing it in the same league of Maruti Swift Dzire or Toyota Etios sedan or Tata Manza as it is more of the association of Honda City sedan, Ford Fiesta or Hyundai Verna Fluidic. It is essential to place the price of this sedan car competitively, especially with the Honda’s reduced price of its new version of Honda City.

Nissan India’s Nissan Sunny is expected to be launched in both the petrol and diesel variants. With the increasing demand of diesel cars in India, it is more practical to launch this sedan with the diesel option as well. The petrol variant of Nissan sedan is guessed to be 1.5 litre HR15DE producing a maximum power of 108 Bhp and 148 Nm of maximum torque, while the diesel engine is expected to be 1.5 litre Dci common rail turbo engine which claims to produce maximum power up to 105 Bhp. This engine is believed to be highly responsive with being economic in fuel efficiency and Nissan India is hoping to bank on these two very important factors that can influence the Indian car market. The interiors and the exteriors put together, Nissan Sunny appears to be more or less similar to that of Nissan Almera.
