Porsche India Launches New 911 Carrera and Boxster S; Sells 117 Cars in October

German luxury maker, Porsche that started its retail operations in India in October has been able to sell over 117 cars within a month, which is actually a great start-up for the super luxury brand. Porsche India, the authorized importer of Porsche cars in the Indian market, earlier to this Precision Cars India was importing Porsche cars in the country, whose importer agreement by Porsche Middle East.

The company also launched the Seventh Generation 911 Carrera Coupe, 911 Carrera S Coupe and the new Boxster S in India at the time of announcing the sales numbers for October. The all new 911 Carrera Coupe, 911 Carrera S coupe and the new Boxster S are priced at Rs 1.14 crore, 1.33 crore and 81.72 lakh (Prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively.

Speaking on the record-breaking sales numbers, Anil Reddi, Director-Porsche India said, "It has been a very exciting past six months for us at Porsche India and we are thrilled with the pace of our network expansion and new model launches in the country. Our first full month sales result in October has been in excess of 100 units which is the best ever for the brand here. It sets us on course for a good rest of the year."

Now with the launch of these two new models, Porsche India believes to do even better in months to come. The new Carrera 911 houses the 6-cylinder, 3.8-litre engine that produces the maximum of 400bhp and touches the 100kmph mark in 4.3 seconds. While with the additional Sport Chrono package, the acceleration goes even better, it touches the 0-100kmph in mere 4.1 seconds along with a top speed of 302kmph. The seventh Generation 911 Carrera Coupe has been offered with the world's first seven-speed manual transmission or the automatic 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK).

Showing the confidence on both new cars in India, Reddi further said, “I am pleased to announce the arrival of the new 911 Carrera, the seventh generation of this sports car icon, as well as the new Boxster S which was unveiled globally earlier this year.”
