Hyundai has expanded its N Line portfolio with the launch of the Venue N Line. It is a sportier version of the popular subcompact SUV and it is available in two variants, priced as follows:
Hyundai N Line variant |
Prices (ex-showroom) |
N6 DCT |
Rs 12.16 lakh |
N6 DCT Dual Tone |
Rs 12.31 lakh |
N8 DCT |
Rs 13.15 lakh |
N8 DCT Dual Tone |
Rs 13.30 lakh |
The top-spec N Line N8 is pricier than the Venue SX(O) Turbo DCT by Rs 58,000. Its N6 variant, which seems to be based on the S(O) variant of the regular Venue, attracts a premium of Rs 1.19 lakh for its added features.
Like the i20 N Line, Hyundai is not offering any performance changes for the Venue N Line. It is offered with the same 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol engine as the regular Venue, but only with the 7-speed DCT automatic. Hyundai has however promised to improve the driving experience of the Venue N Line with a stiffer suspension and a heavier steering wheel. It also offers rear disc brakes as standard.

The Venue N Line is based on the well-equipped variants of the regular Venue, with features like six airbags, 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with connected car tech, power-adjustable driver seat and sunroof. The Venue N Line is also the first Hyundai car in India to get a dashcam. It will also come with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel for its dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Venue N Line is being offered in two monotone and three dual-tone shades, including the N Line specific Thunder Blue. Other visually distinctive elements of the sportier SUV include the revised front fascia with the new grille and bumper design, red accents all around, new alloy wheels, and the dual-tip exhaust. Inside the cabin, the Venue N Line has an all-black theme with red highlights and plenty of N Line badges and emblems on the seats, drive selector and more.
Hyundai’s sporty subcompact SUV has no direct rivals until the arrival of the Mahindra XUV300 Sportz. It will, however, face the same competition as the regular Venue, which includes the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Toyota Urban Cruiser.
