Range Rover Evoque likely to launch in India by 2011 end

Range Rover gives its consumer a reason to be happy! This time around Tata Motors is in full swing and mulling to bring its latest Land Rover vehicle in the country by the end of 2011. This vehicle will be known by the name of Range Rover Evoque, which would be the smallest vehicle in the Land Rover range. Apparently, this small vehicle is already being sold in Europe.

The Range Rover Evoque SUV is expected to be on sale in United States of America and would be available in both 5 door and 3 door versions. It is expected that Range Rover Evoque will give a tough fight to BMW X1 and yet to be launched Audi Q3. If reports are to be believed, Indian car market will welcome the 5 door version of Range Rover Evoque equipped with 2.2 litre of diesel engine.

JLR in India has already triggered the local assembly process, so it could be a possibility that Range Rover Evoque would be assembled here itself, which will in turn make the prices of the car very lucrative. The 2.2 litre of diesel engine to be fitted in the Range Rover Evoque will keep the capacity to churn out 150 PS to 190 PS of power, depending upon the state of tune. It is also being said that this engine will make Range Rover Evoque very fuel efficient. However, the SUV will also be available in petrol version, adorning the 2.0 litre  Si4 petrol motor. But, it is not sure that this petrol variant will be available in India or not.  As far as the  Range Rover Evoque price is concerned, it could come with a price tag of approximately Rs. 30 Lakh.
