All the anticipation for the upcoming Land Rover Range Rover Evoque should cease now, as the news is confirmed that Jaguar Land Rover will launch the SUV in November 2011. Range Rover Evoque price is expected to be Rs 50 lakh for base diesel variant where as the high-end petrol variant can go upto Rs 63 lakh. This will make Evoque SUV very highly priced and is ready to take on rivals like BMW X3 crossover, Audi Q5 and Audi Q7, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

Range Rover Evoque will be brought on Indian shores as Completely Built Unit from UK where the crossover SUV has just began to be delivered to customers from early September. However Tata owned JLR is looking into the plans of assembling Range Rover Evoque in India as Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits like Audi Q5 and the recently launched BMW X3 Crossover, so that the pricing could be eased a bit. So much hysteria is seen for this Land Rover Range Rover Evoque that the company is finding it difficult to meet the pre-booking orders throughout the globe which has reached 2,000. Petrol and diesel versions are expected to be launched simultaneously in the Indian territory.

Evoque SUV basically a mini-sport utility vehicle is perhaps the smallest ever Range Rover. Land Rover is quite popular for its tall and rugged SUVs. This time the company has gone the other way round. The crossover is based on the Land Rover LRX Concept. It is speculated in car market that Land Rover can offer a three door Evoque for the Indian market albeit the five door version is most likely.
