New Renault Koleos will come powered with a 2.0 L of diesel engine, which could churn out around 150 bhp of power. This car could also proffer 6 speed manual as well as automatic speed transmission. Another speculation in the market is that the Korean variant of Renault Koleos, known as Renault Samsung QM5 was captured while its test run in Korea after its facelift. The QM5 is quite popular in Korea; the same variant of this SUV in UK was withdrawn from the UK auto market because of awful sales figures.

Currently, Renault is targeting the Indian Auto market and it will assemble Renault Koleos in Chennai at the Oragadam facility. Renault India aims to manufacture around four products in next 15 months and about to touch the mark of 100 dealer channels by the end of 2012. It is expected that Renault India, will launch a hatchback, a sedan and another SUV by the year of 2012. Renault India is eying a spot in the top 3 car brands in India in next few years.
