Some new electric models of the car are about to come in the Indian market by the year 2012. Three of the car model of Renault are to  be launched at the Olympics in London. These three electric models would be in full action during the games. According to the officials the first car model would be an electric version from the french automaker and it would be an electrified Kangoo MPV. This very model will attract not only the Olympicians but also the spectators present in each and every other event. Charging of these electric vehicles is one of the most striking point in these vehicles. Now for the easy charging of the car Renault has already made plans and is working on them at a very faster pace. It is roumered that quick charging stations would be set up in and around the London for that the car could be made at easy roll-outs all where possible. Moreover, it is expected that special service areas could be constructed where the car can be charged for a distance of 100 miles in just five minutes. Moreover it is expected that each electric vehicle would have standard GPS navigation system with every charging and swapping station pre-programmed.
Now if we consider to what the company officials say the future of the motor cars lies not in the hand of internal combustion engine cars but the future of the auto sector lies in the hands of electric vehicles (EV). The Renault-Nissan group is expecting to launch the electric vehicles mostly in the smaller countries where the driving range is very less compared to other big countries. Many of the electric cars had got incentives from the Delhi government and it has been expected that most of the other parts of the country would surely follow the move made by the Delhi government. Moreover, Renault-Nissan is already planning to launch an ultra low cost car (ULC) all along with the Bajaj group of companies, it is expected that they can also launch their electric cars in India in partnership with the Pune based two wheeler manufacturers.
RECC is one of the group of companies which is already selling many of the group of Reva electric cars for most of the years. To improve the electric car variants the Banglore based companies are now working so that they could use lithium-ion batteries for the next generation Reva, and it is expected that the car group is likely to have a driving range of at least 150km.
