Rolls Royce is set to present their first coupe style model for the Ghost series, probably in 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Along with this, speculations are that the ‘Corniche’ name will be revived. The masked mule for the Ghost coupe was spotted in Germany.
The pictures show that the car will have two doors in the front, very similar to the Phantom coupe. The mask was too heavy to spot any clear changes to the exteriors. However, there are speculations that the model will be based on the latest BMW 7-series. The powertrain will be a 6.6-litre twin turbo V12 which is capable of churning 563bhp of power and 780Nm of torque.
The production model for Rolls Royce Ghost was announced in 2009 and is named after the Silver Ghost car. The Ghost model from Rolls Royce uses BMW’s iDrive user interface. The Rolls Royce is built at their own dedicated production line which is at their Goodwood Plant. Ghost, as Rolls Royce says, is their essence in its simplest and purest form which is a combination of advanced engineering which creates a comfortable drive.
