Rolls-Royce's Ghost will be powered with a unique engine. The 6.6 litre turbo charged V12 engine for Ghost develops 563 bhp and covers 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds. Rolls-Royce Director of Engineering, Helmut Riedl confirmed that the top speed of the vehicle will be 155 mph. Riedl said that the power and performance figures are different altogether in the industry. The frame of the vehicle is rigid, flat and has designed for long life. Apart from this, the Ghost will house four corner air fork system which uses multi link aluminium front and rear axles. This system promises better handling and optimum levels of refinement and comfort every time. The Ghost will be showcased in the Frankfurt motor show in September and deliveries in the UK and Europe will take place late in 2009 while USA and Asia Pacific region will have to wait till second quarter of 2010. The price tag for the UK and Europe starts from £165,000 excluding taxes and delivery charges.
