Select Honda Dealerships Now Accepting Unofficial Bookings For The Facelifted Amaze

You can reserve the facelifted Amaze at select dealerships for Rs 11,000 ahead of its expected launch in mid-August

Honda is likely to launch the facelifted version of the second-gen Amaze in mid-August. We have now learnt that select dealerships across India have started accepting unofficial bookings for Rs 11,000.

The facelifted Amaze is not expected to get any mechanical changes. It will likely be equipped with the same 1.2-litre petrol (90PS/110Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engines (100PS/200Nm). Both come paired to a standard 5-speed manual transmission, along with the option of a CVT. The diesel CVT, however, produces slightly less power and torque (80PS/160Nm).

In terms of changes, the facelifted sedan is expected to get a couple of cosmetic updates on the exterior and interior, including LED headlamps, revised bumpers, and revised seat upholstery. While the facelifted Amaze will continue to come with the existing features, including cruise control and auto AC, Honda could take the opportunity to introduce additional features. Safety kit is likely to remain unchanged with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking camera.

Honda currently retails the Amaze from Rs 6.22 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). We expect the facelifted Amaze to command a small premium over the current prices. It will continue to take on the Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and Tata Tigor.
