Skoda to showcase Yeti in Delhi auto expo

Skoda Auto one of the most popular premium car brand in the world automobile market will showcase its first ever SUV in India, Skoda Yeti at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo. The Auto expo will be held in Delhi from January 5, 2010. Though the model will be officially launched by year 2011. Skoda Yeti is among the most successful Skoda models in world automobile markets. The Skoda Yeti model is characterized with a unique design and with all new generation safety features like airbags and antilock braking system. The model is among one of the most comfortable SUVs as company has given a serious consideration to the comfort of the passengers.

The Skoda Yeti model will be imported to India in completely knocked down units and then will be assembled in Aurangabad plant of the company. By importing completely knocked down units the company will bring down the cost of the model by a good margin as importing the CBU (completely built Units) attracts an import duty of 100%. Skoda has not disclosed any details about the model yet as all details will be reveled at the time of official launch of the vehicle. According to an official statement given by Skoda Auto India, “The new model comes with new engines and new technical solutions, such as the off-road regime that adapts the settings of the electronic systems to driving on rough terrain, an electrically-controlled two-part panoramic sunroof and a fixing system with horizontal slats and movable hooks in the luggage space.” Even before its launch in India the Skoda Yeti model has become quite popular among the SUV lovers.
