Skoda Yeti launched in India

Skoda Motors the Chez auto maker has finally launched the much awaited Skoda Yeti in the Indian automobile market today. The prices for the Ambiente variant is Rs 15.40 lakh while the top-end variant Elegance is priced at Rs 16.62lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The mega launch in Delhi has unveiled two versions of the car namely Ambiente and Elegance. Powered with the impressive 2.0-litre common-rail diesel engine, the car is capable to deliver a peak power of 140 bhp and 32.4 kgm of torque. The turbocharged Diesel engine has turbochargers with self-aligning blades and an in-line liquid cooling system. With an amazing packaging of features, this all new entrant Skoda Yeti is sure to give a tough competition to Mitsubishi Outlander and Maruti Grand Vitara. Skoda Yeti is manufactured at the Aurangabad manufacturing unit of Skoda Motors.

The Yeti is built on the same platform as the Skoda Laura (code PQ35), and that for a start means it has a highly sophisticated all-independent suspension. The looks of the car are chick and classy both from the exteriors and the interiors. Skoda Yeti would offer a comfortable seating of 5 adults with a varioflex type of seating system that would help the passengers adjust the seats for better storage management according to their convenience. Under this kind of seating arrangement, the passengers can push the seats in front, back or simply fold them completely to make room for some luggage. A phenomenal gobi-sand leather upholstery in the interiors of the car gives it a classy appeal.
