This attempt will prove to be a disaster.

Mr Ramesh views that, the subsidy given for diesel is being utilized by the users who do not require the help. Mr Ramesh, said with concern that, if Indians does the same what Chinese did by choosing the US way of commuting, it will result in the adversity for India. He also said that, copying a model will effect the country in a big way. It will harm the country in a major way especially environmental concerns and more.

While explaining, he said that, the concern here is more of the subsidy. The actual purpose is not being solved but the subsidy being utilized by those who does not require it. By making clear that, he is not restricting on any one's right to own a vehicle. He then added that, the criteria here that, government allotted subsidies for the diesel cars for the social welfare but is it not proving to be same as expected. He made his point by saying that, there can be strict polices for the use of the diesel vehicles which can reduce the consumption of the SUVs in India.

Mr. Ramesh is stressing that a new fiscal policy to be made that will help in pulling down the use of the SUVs, diesel engine. It is speculated that by 2020, the transportation industry of India will account to be 7 per cent of India's greenhouse gas emissions.
