Tata Motors has a history of creating disruptions in the market. When the Altroz was launched in 2020, it became the only hatchback to receive a 5-star Global NCAP adult safety rating, earning the reputation of India's safest hatchback. Its design has been highly praised by customers and automotive experts alike.

With three engine options - naturally aspirated petrol, i-Turbo, and diesel - the Altroz caters to a wide range of car buyers. Altroz has set the gold standard for its design, safety, technology, performance, and features. It is also India’s only diesel hatchback.

The Altroz iCNG solves the biggest problem that a CNG owner faces - boot space. This ground-breaking technology in Altroz iCNG is being cheered by CNG customers as a revolutionary change in CNG cars.

No Compromise on Boot Space

Tata Altroz iCNG’s main highlight is its no-compromise boot space. This is a revolutionary change from the current lot of CNG cars that have a huge gas tank, which occupies more than 90 per cent of the boot capacity. Tata Motors has intelligently solved this problem with the Altroz iCNG. India’s first twin-cylinder CNG technology in Altroz facilitates luggage area that ensures boot space similar to petrol cars.

The spare wheel for the Altroz iCNG is placed below the underbody, ensuring the best utilisation of space while making the tyre changes faster and more convenient. There’s no compromise on boot space, fuel tank capacity, and spare wheel.

No Compromise on features

You can open the electric sunroof in Altroz with 26 interesting commands in Hindi and English. For example you can say “open sunroof, show me the sky or khul ja sim-sim and mujhe sitare dikhao.”

Also, these new features are available with petrol and diesel engine options.

In addition to that, Altroz has auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, connected car features, leatherette seats, rear AC vents, 90-degree opening door, rear flat floor and much more on offer

No Compromise on Safety

Safety is the top priority, and Tata Motors has led the way by introducing a range of safe vehicles. True to the commitment to safety in the Altroz, utmost priority has been given to safety in the Altroz iCNG.

The 6-point mounting system for the CNG tanks and enhanced rear body structure provide additional rear crash safety for the Altroz iCNG. The twin cylinders located below the luggage area offer the safest solution, as the valves and pipes are protected under the load floor, minimizing the risk of potential damage. Micro switch turns off the ignition as soon as the fuel lid is opened and keeps it off until the lid is securely closed.

Intelligent CNG technology With Superior Driving Experience

The iCNG technology comes with a first-in-industry feature, the direct start in CNG mode, eliminating the hassle of switching modes. With this feature, you save fuel every time you start the car.

Another first-in-industry feature is the single advanced ECU, enabling seamless shifting between CNG and petrol modes while maintaining optimum air-fuel ratio. Customers generally feel a jerk while driving competition CNG cars, which have a dual interdependent ECU. The iCNG technology also features a modular fuel filter that requires cartridge changes, reducing hazardous waste and lowering maintenance costs.

The twin cylinders located below the luggage area contribute to a more planted drive by lowering the centre of gravity.

No Compromise on Performance

The Altroz's low-end torque is the best in its segment, reducing the need for frequent gear shifts and ensuring effortless drives in both stop-start city traffic and various terrains. The improved low-end torque, along with better in-gear acceleration, enhances overtaking capabilities, making the engine feel more powerful.
