Tata Aria LX, new Base Variant launched at Rs 9.95 lakh

Proving CarDekho's claim right, Tata Motors has today rolled out the new base version of its flagship crossover, the Aria called as Aria LX at an exciting price of Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) to lure its customers during the festive season. However, it's a stripped down version of the vehicle, it has got a decent feature line-up that includes power steering, power windows and some more as standard.Brought out to target the commercial passenger vehicle segment than individual buyers, the new Aria LX lack safety features including Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), will it actually help in increasing the sales number or not, only time will tell.

Built on the company's new light-weight hydro-form chassis, X2 platform, Tata Aria was launched in the year 2010 in 4x4 option, to attract more buyers, three 4x2 variants were launched last year. However it could not do as good as the company expected it do, so a stripped-down version of the vehicle is yet another effort made by the company to do well in terms of sales. Recently we saw the company's all new Tata Safari Storme, new Indigo Manza and Indica eV2 launched in the Indian market, and there will be 6 new vehicles within the next one year, so all these things prove the company's seriousness towards its commitment to become no. 2 position in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
