The Indian auto giant, Tata Motors that launched a new base variant of its flagship crossover, the Aria called as Aria LX in South India and a few other cities in the last quarter of 2012, is now planning to launch the vehicle across India. The Aria which is considered to be one of the most technologically advanced vehicles ever produced by the company could not lure many customers, possibly due to lack of branding and pricing.
So to make things right this time, the company is planning to launch this stripped down version pan-India at Sub- Rs 10 lakh price. Although, it’s a stripped down version, it has a decent feature line-up that includes power steering, power windows and some more as standard. The Aria LX that lacks in some safety features including Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) might not attract individual buyers, but it will be a good option as a commercial passenger vehicle.
Built on the company's new light-weight hydro-form chassis, X2 platform, Tata Aria was launched in the year 2010 in 4x4 option, to attract more buyers, three 4x2 variants were launched last year. However it could not do as good as the company expected it do, so a stripped-down version of the vehicle is yet another effort made by the company to do well in terms of sales. Recently we saw the company's all new Tata Safari Storme, new Indigo Manza, Indica eV2, Vista D90 launched in the Indian market, and there will be 6 new vehicles within the next one year, so all these things prove the company's seriousness towards its commitment to become no. 2 position in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
this is all what we have for now, stay tuned to CarDekho for all the latest updates on the same. Cheers!
