Here's a quick rundown of what's new in these SUVs:
Updated Exterior
Both SUVs get a fresh look with changes like a redesigned grille, sharper indicators, and new LED headlights. They also feature a long LED DRL strip at the front and sport 'Harrier' and 'Safari' badges in fresh lettering on the front doors. Tata is offering the two SUVs with alloy wheels ranging from 17-inches to 19-inch units. The rear of the two SUVs has a connected LED taillight setup, and both come with chunky skid plates.
Revamped Interior
The cabin now has a layered dashboard design, new central AC vents, and a touch-based climate control panel. Both models feature a 4-spoke steering wheel with a lit 'Tata' logo, and various inserts can be colour-coordinated with the exterior based on the variant chosen.
Enhanced Features
These SUVs come with an array of new features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, 10.25-inch digital driver's display, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof. They also offer electrically-adjustable and ventilated front seats (with middle-row ventilation in the 6-seater Safari), cruise control, and wireless phone charging.
Safety is covered with up to seven airbags (six as standard), a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability programme (ESP), and hill-hold assist. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are provided with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, and blind-spot monitoring.

Diesel Engine Only
Both the Harrier and Safari facelifts will be available with a 2-litre diesel engine (170PS/350Nm), with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Price and Competition
The Tata SUVs will be sold in a revised variant lineup, broadly divided into four main trims. For the Harrier facelift, these are Smart, Pure, Adventure and Fearless; and for the Safari facelift the trims are Smart, Pure, Adventure and Accomplished. Their prices are expected to be hiked by up to a lakh over the outgoing models. For reference, the current Harrier starts at Rs 15.20 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.27 lakh, while the existing Safari ranges from Rs 15.85 lakh to Rs 25.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Tata Harrier will continue to compete with the MG Hector and Mahindra XUV700, along with higher-spec Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos variants. The facelifted Tata Safari will still take on the 3-row SUVs like Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus.
