Tata Motors officially announces T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship

Tata Motors for the first time launches the T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship in India. It is also inscribed on the calenders on FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) and FMSCI ( the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India). The event will be held on 23 March'14 at the internationally acclaimed Buddh International Circuit, which would hold on audiences with a spectacle of trucks racing against each other.
The championship is being conducted under the FIA and FMSCI; both of these have worked in the development of motor sport worldwide. While the FMSCI is member of FIA, and has worked for the promotion of such motor sport events. The racing championship will feature 12 Tata PRIMA trucks, and will be divided into six different teams, with the participation from experienced international drivers.
The T1 Prima Truck Championship is being organised by MMSCI, with safety and performance standards being followed according (BTRA) British Truck Racing Association guidelines. Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Karl Slym, Managing Direcor, Tata Motors Limited said, “Through the T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP, we are introducing yet another pioneering initiative in the Indian trucking space.
