Hyundai Venue overtakes the Maruti Brezza to become the second best-selling subcompact SUV
In the month of June, the sub-4m SUV segment in India witnessed a slight decline of 4.5 percent in month-on-month (MoM) sales. Only two models in the segment experienced MoM growth, still three sub-4m SUVs crossed the 10,000-unit sales mark last month. The Tata Nexon continues to dominate the segment in volumes but let’s take a detailed look at the model-wise sales numbers for June 2023.

The demand for the Mahindra XUV300 remained stable with over 5,000 units sold in June 2023. There is a facelift for the XUV300 in the works, and the test mule for the updated model has been spotted multiple times.

With a slight decline of around 2.5 percent, Nissan Magnite’s sales in June 2023 remained stable. Nissan also introduced a new “Geza” special edition of the Magnite at the end of May which is based on the base-spec trim of the subcompact SUV.

The Renault Kiger continues to be the lowest-selling subcompact SUV in June 2023, despite the MoM growth of over 7.5 percent. It has not even crossed the sales mark of 2,000 units last month.
