In the latest spy shot, we can see a white Punch without any covers. The major giveaway of it being the CNG version was the hidden ‘iCNG’ badge on the tailgate. Powertrain Details
Tata will equip the Punch CNG with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as the Altroz CNG, rated to produce 73.5PS and 103Nm. It will get a 5-speed manual transmission only. Like new Tata CNG models, the Punch CNG will also get the option of starting it directly in the CNG mode.
Feature Highlights
The Punch CNG will likely come with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen, single-pane sunroof (new introduction for the model), push-button start/stop, auto AC, and connected car tech. Its safety kit is expected to include multiple airbags, reversing camera, and rear parking sensors.
Usable Boot Space
Perhaps the biggest USP of the Punch CNG will be the usable boot space, with the dual CNG cylinders located underneath the boot floor. That said, Tata hasn’t yet revealed the exact boot space figure but we believe it is likely to be suitable to accommodate one small luggage bag and a pair of duffle or soft bags.
