Features like ventilated front seats and tyre pressure monitoring system were already present on the pre-facelift Nexon
Update (14/09/2023): The Tata Nexon facelift has finally been launched, with introductory prices starting at Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
The facelifted Tata Nexon has been unveiled and its features have been revealed in detail. One of the biggest rivals of the Nexon has been the Maruti Brezza, both having worn the crown of bestseller in their segment at different times. The latter was thoroughly updated in 2022 with a host of new features and enhancements. Now, the Nexon facelift is even more feature-rich and here’s everything it gets over the Maruti SUV.
A Bigger Touchscreen
The updated Nexon gets the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Harrier and Safari. This new display comes in a slim form factor and supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. While the Brezza also features wireless connectivity, it only gets a 9-inch infotainment system.
Fully Digital Driver’s Display
The display superiority of the Nexon over the Brezza continues with the new 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display. This unit can display all the information including tyre pressure, media, drive information and a compass. It can even use the entire display for navigation, a feature previously limited to the luxury segment. The Brezza on the other hand only comes with a TFT colour display between the analog dials.

Ventilated Front Seats
While both the SUVs get leatherette upholstery in their top variants, the new Nexon comes with a ventilation function for the front ones. The Tata SUV had this feature in the pre-facelift version as well and it has been carried forward here.
Cleaner Air
Another neat feature that the new Nexon gets over the Brezza is a PM2.5 air filter and purifier. The level of air quality can be checked on the infotainment system.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
Both cars get a long list of safety features, which include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, and even a 360-degree camera. But the one feature that the Brezza misses out on is a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The Nexon gets this feature and the details of each tyre’s pressure can be seen on the digital driver’s display.
Bonus: Voice-enabled Sunroof
A feature that is increasingly common in any SUV is a sunroof and both these cars come with a single-pane unit. But the Nexon has an edge over the Brezza here as well since it can be operated via voice commands, using which one can open the sunroof without having to click the button. It’s good for the driver who keeps their hands on the wheel, and extends control to the rear occupants as well.
Launch & Rivals
The Tata Nexon facelift will be launched on September 14 and will likely be priced from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. It will continue to be a rival to the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
