Top management changes at Renault India

Renault India is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Rajiv Mitra who has joined as Vice President – Public Affairs & Communication with effect from 18th July 2011. He will take over from the present Vice President – Public Affairs & Communications, Mr.Ashish Sinharoy who has chosen to leave the company in order to be closer to his family in Pune.
Rajiv will report to Mr. Sudhir Rao – COO, Renault India and Deputy Managing Director, Renault Group India. Rajiv joins us from Hyundai, where he headed the corporate communication function since August, 2006. He was primarily responsible for media relations, both internal and external communication and strategies related to product launches, crisis management and overall communication plans.
Prior to joining Hyundai, Rajiv had a career spanning over 12 years as an automotive journalistwhereby he has been an Editor, columnist and host of popular auto shows like Wheelocity and TopSpeed. Starting as a correspondent with Auto India in 1996 he went on to edit automotive magazines -Auto Motor & Sport and Bike2Car along with writing regular columns and editing supplements such as Top Gear for Hindustan Times newspaper. Rajiv holds an MBA from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, USA with a major in Marketing along with a Master degree in Psychology.
