Toyota Fortuner 5-speed Automatic Variant Launched at Rs 22.93 lakh

Toyota Forutner which is selling like hotcakes in India, was till now available with a 4-speed automatic variant, but now the company has announced to launch the five-speed automatic transmission version of the gigantic SUV in India, priced between Rs 22.33 lakh and Rs. 22.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi. Bookings for the vehicle will kick start from January 18th 2013 onwards.

Speaking about the same company's Managing Director and COO- Marketing and Commercial, Sandeep Singh said, "Further adding to Fortuner's strength of unmatched road presence and luxury, we have now introduced the five-speed automatic transmission... The five-speed AT will further add to the drive quality and comfort,"

Besides announcing the launch of Toyota Fortuner automatic, the company has also said that it will continue to produce the Fortuner TRD Sportivo, which was introduced in festive season as a special edition. First launched as a limited edition, the Fortuner TRD Sportivo got an overwhelming response across the country, which has convinced the company to keep selling the vehicle in India.

"Looking at the overwhelming response and its popularity, we have now regularised this grade for all those looking for a unique sporty image. The bookings will open starting January 18, 2013," Singh said.
