Toyota offers Express Maintenance Service

Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM), a joint venture between Toyota and Kirloskar Group, on Wednesday has launched it's a one hour periodic maintenance service in India. This service known as Express Maintenance Service for all its vehicles. This new scheme is available to each Toyota customer existing and new one at no additional cost.

The Express Maintenance service will decrease the servicing time to 1 hour from the current 1 day period. The Express Maintenance service costs the similar as a regular service cost. Toyota has taken the liberty to apply it's Toyota Production System (TPS) skills and Kaizen methods in order to reduce the idle period between service processes and improve the system to do a full regular service within 90-minutes.

In North India, MGF Toyota is the first dealership which introduces an Express Maintenance Service, offered to the customers at same cost as the regular service. Toyota Kirloskar Motors is planning for extending an Express Maintenance service to 14 dealerships across the India by the end of 2008 and 6 more centres by 2009. The Nippon Toyota in Kochi is the 1st dealership in Kerala and the 2nd in India to be declared for the Express Maintenance Service.
