Toyota to recall 1,10,000 hybrid cars in US, Japan and Europe

According to the latest updates, Toyota, which is one of the leading automobile company, is eyeing to recall approximately 1,10,000 hybrid cars sold in different countries such as Europe, Japan and United States. Relevant sources have reported that  electrical power control board in these cars encompass faulty transistors which could easily be damaged from the heat emitted by the excessive current flow when the car is driven at high loads.

This decision of Japanese giant Toyota to echo back approximately  36,700 Lexus RX 400h cars and 45,500 cars of its Highlander Hybrid for resoldering and removing the faults of transistors have shaken up the US auto market.  Sources have unveiled that Toyota is all set to recall approximately 3,000 cars in Canada and about 11,164 cars in Japan for the same purpose and the count in Europe is roughly 15,000 cars. Toyota spokesman said that owners of the cars will be notified as soon as the replacement parts will be available.

This major global recall have proved to be the biggest road roller in the path of Toyota which is already scrambling to reinstate its goodwill as a quality auto giant. This echo back has caused Toyota a penalty of nearly 50 million USD. In the beginning of the month also,Toyota has recalled for about 1,39,000 cars world-wide encompassing approximately 1,06,000 first generation Prius hybrid cars as they faced problem relevant to steering system.

Toyota is also eyeing to launch revised version of Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner on Indian shores. Recently, Toyota India has also marked its entry in the rapidly growing hatchback segment by launching its first hatchback car Toyota Etios Liva  in Delhi. Other models of Toyota currently available in India are, Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla Altis, Toyota Etios, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Innova, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado , Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Prius.
