Volkswagen India signs MoU with Rayat Bahra

The Indian arm of German car manufacturer, Volkswagen is giving great attention to the environmental issues, safety features, advanced technology and Professional talent on board, as it directly affects the product and company's reputation. In view of coming with new talent Volkswagen India and Rayat Bahra Group has signed a MoU. Rayat Bahra, is a Punjab based educational group which is a decade old and imparts value education. The MoU says that, the auto giant will provide technical training to the engineering students.
The German car manufacturers has come up with the new programme called VG-TAP (Volkswagen Group Technical Educational Programme). It is a comprehensive manpower development programme for the students to instill professional skills in them. It is for the first time that, Rayat Bahra Group has signed MoU with Volkswagen.
Dietmar Hildebrandth, Director of Group Service, National Sales Corporation, Volkswagen India Private Ltd said that, the company is hopeful that with such MoU they are sure to generate professional talent in the country. It will not only benefit Volkswagen but whole of the auto industry. Volkswagen India, has decided to sign the MoU with ten more institutions across country. It will be in Bangalore, Delhi, Pune and Kochi to stamp with other institutions on the same MoU.
GS Bahara, the chairperson of Rayat Bahra group said with enthusiasm, that Volkswagen are experts in its field and Rayat Bahra Group is angling at the association. With great rejoice he added that, the programme will assist the students well and bring out the real potential by providing them with training which will help them in future.
Besides its initiative at the educational front, Volkswagen India has extensive plans to expand its dealership across the country and is also planning to increase its market share by 20 per cent by 2018. With these strategical moves, the company has been doing quite well in the first three quarters of 2010. The company gained financial growth, the demand of its compact car Volkswagen Polo and luxury sedans Audi A4, Audi A6 are growing day by day. The company also plans to manufacture 50 lac cars by the year 2018.
