Volkswagen offerings: XL 1 Concept, new Volkswagen Beetle and Touareg

The Auto Expo 2012 is the perfect platform for every car maker. Today, Volkswagen showed its best presence at the prestigious Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi. There, the auto major showcased the new Volkswagen XL1 concept car. So what is so special in XL 1?
Well, the car is the most fuel efficient one as it delivers a superb mileage of 111 km per litre and its 1.0 litre of 2 cylinder TDi engine generates maximum power of 48 BHP.
The presence of the electric engine further adds around 27 BHP of power, in that way making Volkswagen XL 1 the most fuel economical car that Volkswagen has designed ever.
Volkswagen also introduced the new Volkswagen Beetle and Volkswagen Touareg. The new version of Volkswagen Beetle comes powered with 1.4 Litre of petrol engine that churns out 158 BHP of peak power and the diesel version comprise of 2.0 litre of diesel motor that produces 138 BHP of peak power.
Therefore, this way, Volkswagen has been successful in addressing the needs of both petrol and diesel consumers. Volkswagen Touareg was also the star of Volkswagen stall at the Auto Expo 2012.
The SUV has been given a lot of enhancements, which comprise of V6 3.0 litre of diesel engine that generates peak power of 205 BHP. This masculine SUV will hit the showrooms in April 2012.
Speculations in the market also suggest that Volkswagen is also planning on introducing a petrol-hybrid version of 3.0 litre in near future.
